BDSM And Animal Play

This is a growing fetish in the lifestyle , just in the last 10 years or more and more people are coming out. Puppy play , kitten , and pony  and horse play. I do know a pony trainer here local , but have not spent enough time with him to give much  input about the lifestyle. My thoughts are when in the role , it is a great release. That frame of mind into submission , the feeling of being at peace , being who they truly want to be with out being judged. More so able to express there true submission . I hope this explains a little more into detail.

Pet play BDSM and Animal BDSM.

Animal BDSM (Pet play BDSM) is an erotic sexual role-play (when it may also be called pet play, pony play, kitten play, or pup-play) where participants take on the role of a real or imaginary animal in character, including appropriate mannerisms and behavior.

The principal theme of animal role-play is usually the voluntary or involuntary reduction (or transformation) of a human being to animal status, and focus on the altered mind-space created. In animal BDSM a person may be humiliated by being treated as an animal.

These notes are for Pet play and Animal BDSM lovers and others who aren’t used to BDSM events, such as a “Dog and Pony Show”.

  • Etiquette is slightly different between the social areas and the play spaces. Avoid talking so that BDSM scenes can hear you.
  • Dungeon Monitors (DMs) perform a lifeguard function, assisting safety. They are usually marked by an orange bandanna while on duty. Take any questions or issues to them. Obey them.
  • Nudity and provocative clothing is perfectly acceptable. It is not an invitation to touch, gawk, or make comments. What do you say to a naked person? The same as you’d say to them if they were dressed.

Animal BDSM play areas:

The play areas are special ritual spaces. Avoid distracting or intruding on any scene:

  • Keep beyond reaching distance of any scene, including the people, furniture, toys, and other belongings.
  • Don’t join in a scene without a very explicit invitation, even if you think you see people joining in freely.
  • After a scene, allow at least twenty minutes before requesting to talk with any participants. It takes at least that long for afterglow.
  • Be tolerant of all genders, orientations, roles, and play styles. We’re a diverse group.
  • People have greatly differing reasons for play, and styles of relationship. Don’t assume that anyone is poly, a swinger, or kinky.
  • Animal play (pony play, dog play, etc.) is mainly about becoming the animal, in spirit. It is also about the power exchange with the trainer(s) and other animals.
  • Experienced bottoms get deep into animal head-space, which is non-verbal. Don’t try to engage them in human conversation. Limit your words to things like “nice doggy” and “pony want an apple slice?”
  • Humans interacting with animal play are called owner, trainer, handler, wrangler, etc. as appropriate.
  • Animal play generally moves around. Some animals may be on leash, reins, or voice control. Others wander about “at pasture” – that’s normal. Part of animal play is interacting with other animals and the environment.
  • Small animals (dogs, puppies, and kittens) like a place to romp, such as a mattress, wresting mats, or thick carpet. Often it is vigorous brat .
  • Animals give consent by moving/staying close. They withdraw consent by moving away, growling, barking, stamping, biting or kicking. Words are not required.
  • Avoid inadvertently pestering an animal, either by proximity, or by insisting on human conversation. That can ruin the scene.

  1. Wow I didn’t know such places existed aside from stories.

    • Yes Olivia there are people in the community that live as pets be it a puppy , a kitty , a pony. So use it just as a form of play to add spice. Then there are those who live it 24 / 7 .The BDSM lifestyle has many levels and kinks , from mild to extreme . We are all different in our needs Olivia some like to give up control only in the bedroom , some prefer TPE, and some want more than total control, it goes into micromanagement , which I truly find unhealthy , but who am I.. Some are very strict and there are those who crave that , there are Doms who are in control but really do not enforce rules. There are those subs who are into extreme pain , and those who are not. The river runs wide Olivia , it is never ending.

Everyday we try to understand different things in the lifestyle some good , and some confuses us . Some we do not agree with, and that is fine not to agree , but please what ever you do , never judge anyone for there needs or the way a dominant runs his house .
      I hope I did not bore you…

      • Oh Vile, I am afraid I did not make myself clear. I know all about the living as a pet kink. I told you my old second life partner and i invented a human dog house. Full of animations just for that particular role play. We took it off the market last year. What I didn’t know what that there were places to go where lots of people are participating in the real world as you have suggested here. Of course I know it happens in the privacy of peoples homes. But real life places where lots of people go, is what I thought was only in stories. I live a very secluded life but I never judge anyone’s role play. Master Henry had me sleep on a doggie bed for a week. 🙂

  4. I’m kinda new to this. I’ve heard more about puppy play than kitten. Does anyone have advice for a slightly insecure kitten? I’m just worried because I feel like there’s more that can be done with puppies than with kittens and I don’t want my master to think I’m useless with this kind of play. I mean, in groups I’d be a puppy as well but onexone is where I’m a little worried because I don’t want him to lose interest.
